Flower Tuesday Market at Eastern Market | Tuesday, May 12 Eastern Market opens Sheds 5 and 6 specifically for flower and plant vendors every Tuesday this May. If you want the Eastern Market experience without the Saturday crowds, this is your window. Smaller crowds, easier parking, and high-intent vendors focused entirely on flowers, plants, and seasonal botanical goods. 📍 2934 Russell Street, Detroit | 9 AM – 3 PM 

 


Lucky Squirrel Craft & Vendor Event | Saturday, May 16 One of the largest outdoor flea market and craft events in Metro Detroit, with up to 150 vendors selling handmade goods, vintage wares, jewelry, bath and body products, baked goods, art, and more. Founders Day Festival & Parade | Saturday, May 16 Downtown Highland's annual community festival features local artisans, food trucks, a Kids Zone with bounce houses, and a parade starting at 10 AM. A full family day out in a classic small-town downtown setting. 📍 250/300 W. Livingston Rd., Highland | 9 AM – 3 PM 

 


Lake Orion Art & Flower Fair | Saturday May 16 – Sunday May 17 A juried art and craft market in Downtown Lake Orion featuring 100 booth spaces split between handmade art and craft vendors and flower and plant vendors. Every vendor was vetted for quality and originality — no resellers, original work only. Live demonstrations and a kids area round out the weekend. Saturday runs 10 AM to 6 PM. Sunday runs 10 AM to 4 PM. 📍 East Flint St & N Broadway St, Downtown Lake Orion | Sat 10 AM – 6 PM | Sun 10 AM – 4 PM 

 


May Makers Market at Willow Greenhouse | Saturday, May 16 A boutique indoor maker market set inside Willow Greenhouse in Northville. Local makers, natural light, plants everywhere, and a curated shopping experience in one of the most visually appealing market settings in Metro Detroit. Free to attend. 📍 7839 Curtis Rd, Northville | 11 AM – 2 PM 

 


Eastern Market Saturday Market | Saturday, May 16 Metro Detroit's flagship weekly market day with all sheds open. Local produce, flowers, plants, packaged foods, and handcrafted goods from local entrepreneurs. One of the largest market days in the region drawing up to 45,000 visitors. Early birds get first pick. 📍 2934 Russell Street, Detroit | 6 AM – 4 PM 

 


Eastern Market Flower Day | Sunday, May 17 Eastern Market's major annual flower market day featuring vendors from the Metro Detroit Flower Growers Association and growers from across the Midwest. Hanging baskets, porch planters, garden starts, flats, and bulk seasonal flowers. Free to attend. All ages welcome. 📍 2934 Russell Street, Detroit | 7 AM – 5 PM
